Our first collection is an ode to the memories of our designer’s hometown, a small village nestled on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar called Ballia.

The spirit of this collection is derived from the brick and eggshell homes where she grew up.

Spaces with accents of contrast bold lines,
A play on negative space with bricks,
Rough lines and motifs drawn with fingers on walls which tell the stories and hopes of its inhabitants.
The natural colour of brick ageing beautifully with time,
Stapu blocks drawn on the floor with broken pieces of Khullad,
Almost indifferent,
Devoid of pretence,
Raw in nature,

Our collection comprises of three colours, Koyala, Eenta and Raakh, the primary palette of her paternal village.

Our products feature an essence of warm comfort, carefully crafted with handmade Block Prints and subtle Kantha highlights on cottons, an ordinary gaze on colour and broken lines.

Jayprakash Narayan Smarak Pratishthan is a trust located in Jaiprakash Nagar, Ballia. It is build around the home of the late Indian Independence Activists and Socialists Jayprakash Narayan and his wife Prabhavati Devi.

May we never lose touch with our rural dialects.

May we strive to learn our humble muslin drapes.

May love always act as the catalysing force behind our dreams and goals.

May our dreams always be brimming with magic and wonder.

May we always have plenty on our plate to share.

The older this lazy piece of fabric gets, the more comfortable it feels to its companion.
